Mt. Etna erupting The Research

Most of our work centers around the theoretical modelling of buoyant plume dynamics and the flow processes involved in tube transport of lava. We are also currently doing some work on the theoretical modeling of mass movements, such as lahars and debris flows. As part of our research, we use remote sensing data from the visible, shortwavelength infrared and thermal infrared to aid in our understanding of physical volcanic processes.
